Product Overview
The carbon steel cylinder scale (optional explosion-proof) is a bench scale specifically designed for weighing cylindrical containers such as steel cylinders and gas cylinders. The entire scale features a dual-scale frame structure, with the upper scale frame equipped with a specialized wheel‑clamping support system tailored for securely gripping and holding steel cylinders, ensuring that the cylinders remain stable and protected during measurement while preventing them from colliding with the scale body.
The entire scale is made of carbon steel, featuring a thickened anti-corrosion coating and an antistatic treatment. It is equipped with four dedicated, explosion‑proof, high‑precision, tumbler‑style carbon steel sensors paired with an explosion‑proof junction box.
This weighing and metering device is used in environments where gas or liquid cylinders containing chlorine, ammonia, and other such substances are filled and discharged, and it is placed on a level work surface for operation.
Simply connect the weighing display unit—optionally available—to the scale body to start measuring. For explosion‑proof applications, you can choose between intrinsically safe and flameproof display units.

1. The scale body is made of carbon steel, with an acid‑baked surface treatment and a thickened, powder‑coated anti‑corrosion finish, which significantly reduces corrosion to the scale body in the event of liquid leakage.

Product Usage Precautions: Steel Cylinder Scale Series
1. Usage and Operation:
1. This product must not be overloaded to ensure that the cylinder scale remains undamaged and that measurements are accurate.
2. Arc welding is prohibited on the weighing platform. If arc welding must be performed on the weighing platform, please note: Disconnect the signal cable from the weigh display controller; the ground wire for arc welding must be positioned near the weld area and securely connected to the scale body—under no circumstances should the load cells be used as part of the arc welding circuit.
3. No inductive loads, such as doorbells, shall be connected to the same phase line as the electronic cylinder scale.
4. Maintain good weighing habits when using the scale. During the weighing process, place the cylinder in the middle of the scale’s support structure, ensuring it is evenly positioned front to back, so that the four sensors on the cylinder scale bear an even load. Do not simply set the cylinder down haphazardly in pursuit of convenience and speed, as this can lead to uneven sensor loading, compromising the service life of the cylinder scale and the accuracy of your measurements.
5. When weighing, avoid contact, collision, or vibration with other objects to ensure measurement accuracy.
6. Steel cylinder scales are often used in flammable and explosive environments; please handle them with care during operation to ensure safety.
2. Operating Environment:
1. When using electronic cylinder scales, avoid placing them near heat sources or vibration sources.
2. Electronic steel cylinder scales should not be left outdoors for extended periods, especially in the rain; the operating environment must be kept dry.
3. Avoid contact with corrosive substances to extend service life. Non‑waterproof platform scales should be kept away from water that could damage or compromise the sensors, junction boxes, and other components, thereby affecting measurement accuracy.
4. Since many applications may be susceptible to pest and rodent infestations, the signal cables of steel cylinder scales are exposed in certain areas, so strict precautions must be taken to prevent damage caused by insects and rodents.
5. Regularly clean debris around the sensor to prevent it from pressing against the load cell, which could lead to inaccurate weighing and erratic readings.
6. In areas prone to frequent lightning strikes, or during thunderstorm seasons, reliable surge arresters or other effective lightning protection measures must be installed. Both sensors and instruments are electrostatically sensitive devices, so thorough anti‑static measures must be implemented during use.
3. Maintenance and Care:
1. Ensure all connections are secure and regularly check that the limit clearance is appropriate to guarantee normal operation.
2. Regularly clean the rust off the sensor screws to keep the sensor surface clean and free from interference, so as to prevent changes in the sensor’s resistance that could affect weighing accuracy.
3. Regularly inspect the positions of the scale corner screws to ensure they remain within the normal operating range.
4. When the weighing display controller is not used for an extended period (such as more than one month), it should be powered on and inspected according to the ambient conditions to prevent moisture or other corrosive gases from compromising its reliability.
5. If the weighing display of the electronic cylinder scale malfunctions, power should be cut off immediately. If the cause of the fault cannot be accurately determined, our company’s professional engineers should be notified for inspection and troubleshooting. Users must not disassemble the enclosure at will, nor may they replace internal components without authorization. Both operators of the electronic cylinder scale and instrument maintenance personnel must undergo specialized training before engaging in operation or maintenance activities.
