Abstract

A specially designed, miniature, high-sensitivity weighing sensor unit is embedded in the conveyor module of the sorting machine. As mail passes through, the weight is instantly collected, and the data is linked to the corresponding sorting route. This effectively identifies abnormal letters that are overweight due to being inadvertently bundled together, thereby aiding in tariff management and security inspections.

Requirement: During the automated sorting process for flat mail items such as letters and magazines, perform weight detection to verify postage rates and identify abnormal items (e.g., those containing foreign objects).
Difficulties: The mail items are extremely lightweight and must be inspected on a high-speed sorting line (several items per second); the equipment must be exceptionally stable and durable.
Product Purchase: Yazhen Integrated Miniature High-Speed Dynamic Weighing System for Sorting Machines

Solution: Embed specially designed miniature, high-sensitivity weighing sensor units into the conveyor modules of the sorting machine. As mail passes through, weight data is collected instantaneously, and the data is linked to the corresponding sorting path. This effectively identifies abnormal letters that are overweight due to being carried along with other items, thereby aiding in tariff management and security inspections.
